I have noticed this pattern with many of my sensory kids. Their first haircuts around twelve to eighteen months usually go well, but around age two they start to show signs of regression. This is often when holding them down, forced haircuts, and other traumatic experiences happen, and they begin to connect haircuts with negative experiences. I always plead with parents who are reading this. Not everyone will be lucky enough to have dad be the sensory friendly barber but do not force your child
